Flame King's Fall – Scene Display Base (sold separately)
We chose to replace the heavily industrial electroplated version with a hand-polished finish. Don't get us wrong—electroplating isn't bad. But it's been done a thousand times, and it always feels a little... soulless.
So we experimented with every combination you can think of—grit, buffing wheels, rough polishes, you name it. The goal? To breathe life into every single hammer. We wanted each one to feel anything but stiff or factory-stamped. It can have all kinds of "flaws"—because that's exactly what makes it feel real. These are battle-worn marks—evidence of combat that left the hammer victorious. And that level of character? Only hand-finishing can deliver.
The Feel of Multi-Layered Polishing
How to describe it? It's the kind of texture that makes you just want to hold it—to keep handling it, because the more you touch it, the more character it gains.
Every hammer is subtly different by hand. Dark speckling here, reflective highlights there. The surface may feel a little rough and uneven, but underneath it all, you can sense that dense, cast-metal authenticity. That's the result of grit-blasting at varying coarseness. It might look a bit "dirty" at first glance—but honestly? That's miles better than the clean, lifeless, sterile look we had before.
Funny thing is—back when the surface was perfectly smooth and pristine, even the tiniest scratch would drive us nuts. Now? If a hammer doesn't have a few good battle scars, it feels like something's missing. And giving your hammer a little love rub with a polishing cloth? Honestly, it's weirdly satisfying.
The Leather Strap
We didn't cut corners on the strap either—real craftsmanship went into every stitch.
The new version isn't just about better materials; it's about a whole new level of detail across the board.
I don't usually post too many photos—I like to preserve that unboxing experience for new owners. But this time? I couldn't help myself. I just had to share more. Stripping away that cookie-cutter factory vibe is what the modeling hobby is all about.
New Scene Base Design
Since we're giving Mjolnir a reforged edition, it only felt right to give the display base a fresh look too. After several rounds of design revisions, we finally landed on something brutal: Surtur's skull takes center stage, surrounded by the little skeletons from Thor: Ragnarok's opening scene. We're creating a full-on lava-scape effect with integrated lighting. This is a large-scale diorama piece, sold separately—and it's an absolute showstopper.
