The Lord of the Rings – Full Metal Gauntlets – 1:1 Scale Collectible Armor
Forged in the spirit of Middle-earth, these gauntlets are a faithful recreation of the legendary armor seen on the silver screen. Every surface tells a story of craftsmanship worthy of the free peoples of old.
The outer plates are fashioned from stainless steel, each measuring 0.8MM in thickness, linked to one another by rivets set into durable Nappa leather – a material chosen for its strength and suppleness. The leather is secured with industrial-grade hook-and-loop fastening, ensuring a reliable hold.
Beneath the steel lies a separate inner glove, crafted from soft lambskin – a layer of comfort between warrior and armament. The two components are fully detachable, allowing for easy maintenance or replacement.
At present, we offer a standard size for both the steel plates and the inner glove. Should your hands be exceptionally large or small, we recommend sourcing your own preferred gloves and attaching them to the steel armor via the hook-and-loop system – a simple solution that preserves the integrity of the design.
Each gauntlet is individually housed in its own wooden display case – a presentation worthy of an heirloom from the Third Age.
The lambskin glove and steel plates are joined by hook-and-loop fastening, allowing for a customized fit. The finger sections are further adjustable, enabling a range of sizing that accommodates different hand shapes while maintaining full dexterity.
A single gauntlet requires over one hundred hand-driven rivets to assemble – each one placed with care, linking the plates into a seamless protective shell. Due to the labor-intensive nature of this process, we are unable to offer multiple size options. However, the adjustable finger fastenings allow for a degree of fine-tuning, ensuring that hands of varying proportions can still command the gauntlet with confidence.
This is practical artistry in the truest sense – armor designed not merely for display, but for the hand that wields it.
